Signature pink and blonde dreads flailing, ominous ink on display, and superhero-sized charisma, Lil Pump tore through hip-hop like a tornado. Joining forces with leading next generation music and entertainment company Tha Lights Global in late 2016, the 17-year-old South Florida sonic fire-plug first took over Soundcloud. On the platform, he ratcheted up over 200 million plays with “Molly” (44 million-plus in under a year) going #1 and “Gucci Gang” (78.8 million-plus) reaching #2.
A loud phenomenon impacting the entire culture, his self-titled full-length debut, Lil Pump, crashed the Billboard Top 200 at #3, cracking 46K equivalent units first-week powered by 83 percent streaming. Following 11 weeks, “Gucci Gang” impressively peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, spending two consecutive weeks in the Top 5. “Gucci Gang” has been certified by the RIAA as a Gold and Platinum Digital Single and “Boss” achieved an RIAA Gold Digital Single certification. To boot, “Gucci Gang” crushed 248 million Spotify streams as “Boss”, “Flex Like Ouu”, and “D Rose” all surpassed the 50-million mark within a six-month window. Meanwhile on YouTube, “Gucci Gang” blasted past 420 million views. By January 2018, he averaged over 22 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Along the way, he’s become an untouchable, undeniable, and unique presence with over 8.4 million Instagram followers. Additionally, Pump stands out as “the third most-Googled Hip-Hop Artist of 2017.” Getting up close and personal with fans, he took that fire on the road with a sold out nationwide headline tour launched on Halloween 2017. Moreover, he’s been extensively profiled by The New York Times, XXL, HotNewHipHop, Billboard and more. Forbes pegged him among “Hip Hop’s Future Moguls” in 2018. This is only the beginning though. Lil Pump is primed to pop off even more in 2018.
